It’s been a busy year and I’m way behind on posting. Quick update on a really exciting opportunity I had~
I was commissioned by Interlochen Presents last summer to write a piece for Sir James Galway, who was coming as a guest to Interlochen. More specifically I wrote it for flute trio (Sir Galway, his wife Jeanne Galway, and my wonderful colleague, Nancy Stagnitta) and the Interlochen flute choir.
The piece premiered October 10, 2019 at the Dendrinos Chapel as an encore to a solo recital by Galway. It was a great honor and he’s a delightful musician and person. I’ll add a page for the piece soon.
